Introduction

A Mineral Dealer License is mandatory for any individual or entity engaged in the purchase, storage, sale, transportation, processing, and import/export of minerals for commercial purposes within the State. Applications for Registration / Re-Registration / Re-Activation of Mineral Dealer Licenses (Form A) are governed by the rules of the Department of Mines and Geology and are processed through the Jharkhand Integrated Mines and Mineral Management System (JIMMS) portal. Applicants are required to submit the prescribed documents, and Pay the online application fee as notified. Upon successful submission of the application, an Acknowledgement Receipt (Form A1) is generated. After approval of the application, the Certificate of Dealer Registration (Form B) is issued through the portal. If a dealer remains non-operative for two consecutive years, the registration shall be automatically deactivated. A deactivated dealer registration may be reactivated by submitting an application in the prescribed form along with the prescribed fee (as notified) through the JIMMS portal.

Module Workflow

JIMMS registered Applicants can submit an online request for a new license or Reactivation through the JIMMS portal. Applicants who are not yet registered must first complete registration to obtain a JIMMS User ID and password

While applying for a Dealer License, applicants must upload scanned copy of mandatory documents, details of the mineral name and source of procurement, applicant photograph, and signature. The prescribed application fee can be paid online only. After successful submission, an online acknowledgement (Form A1) will be generated.

Approval Procedure

After receiving the online request, initial verification is done by the concerned Authority. The acknowledgement (Form A1) is generated automatically and visible to the applicant. During the verification by authority, may raise the objection. The objected application will be reverted to the Applicant visible with Objected "Remark" at Applicant’s dashboard. The applicant may comply and resubmit for approval. After Final Approval system will be generate "Certificate of Dealer" with Term and Conditions and Auto-generated JIMMS Dealer Code.
